On 22 October 2025, The (Emerging) Designer Awards held its third annual Awards Ceremony at the Artedomus Galleria in Melbourne. The exclusive industry event welcomed more than 200 of Australia’s most esteemed architects, designers and industry stakeholders, who joined Artedomus and The Local Project to celebrate the architects and designers shaping Australia’s creative future.

Perth based designer, Adyn Kelly, was announced the Winner of the Residential Interior category, for Townshend, a home located in Perth, WA. Juror Virginia Jen, editor at The Local Project, says the interplay of materiality, texture and form is what set Townshend apart, not to mention Aydn’s original and laser-focused approach to this element. “It has resulted in a home that revels in complexity without losing sight of how it feels to experience a space,” says Virginia. “That distinctive interior impressed all the judges.”

“Winning The (Emerging) Designer Awards for Residential Interior was definitely a surprise and a proud moment for myself and my studio,” says Adyn of Adyn Kelly design studio. “It’s a nod to all the hard work, and that we’re all on the right track,” he says.
