On 22 October 2025, The (Emerging) Designer Awards held its third annual Awards Ceremony at the Artedomus Galleria in Melbourne. The exclusive industry event welcomed more than 200 of Australia’s most esteemed architects, designers and industry stakeholders, who joined Artedomus and The Local Project to celebrate the architects and designers shaping Australia’s creative future.

Melbourne based studio, SSdH, was announced the Winner of the Residential Architecture category, for their project Dunstan, a suburban residential project located in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. The jury praised SSdH for their exceptional execution of the project, in all aspects of the design and delivery.

“Dunstan won the award because it was executed so well across all elements of the project. It’s great to see a project deliver so much amenity and value to a client within a particularly small footprint,” says Chris Haddad, director of Archier and a returning juror. “And while it has very distinct architectural elements, it also feels very warm and inviting, and feels like a home…”
