The (Emerging) Designer Awards returned for its second year, presented by Artedomus and The Local Project, to award collectively eight impressive and very deserving Winners and Commended recipients, across four categories.
This year’s awards received over 150 entries from architects, interior designers and product designers across categories of Residential Interior, Residential Architecture, Commercial Interior and Product Design. Entries were nation-wide and of a quality that put the full pressure back upon our Jurors to arrive at our 2024 winners.
We were incredibly excited to name Tanev Muir Architects as the winner of the Residential Interior with their deeply considered and detailed Yukari House in Byron Bay.
Weaver+Co Architects received the Residential Architecture award for Gable Park residence in Melbourne – a project which stood out for its sensitivity to site, neighbourhood and client brief.
Melbourne-based architecture and interior design studio, In Addition, received the Commercial Interior award for July store in Brisbane – a retail experience that served up nostalgic escapism in every carefully considered element of its fit-out.
Jordan Fleming received the inaugural Product Design Award, presented in partnership with New Volumes. This award will see Jordan join the New Volumes family to produce a product for the brand.
Congratulations also go to this year’s Commended – as follows:
Residential Interior Commended – Luise’s Terrace by Care Of Studio (Sydney);
Residential Architecture Commended – House in Surry Hills by Architect George (Sydney);
Commercial Interior Commended – The Sporting Club Hotel by Studio Co and Co (Melbourne);
Product Design Commended – Bolaji Teniola (Adelaide).
